A master's job is
never done, it lives on through the ages.
The Installation of Officers was held on January 6th and was enjoyed by all who attended. There were musical selections, visiting, dancing and refreshments.
On January 25 there was another Reyburn Family Degree held in Clovis Lodge, and it was A. C. Reyburn getting his first degree. His father, Glenn Reyburn, was the Master for his first degree.
In February the committee for the making of the Lodge roster was duly authorized to have the roster printed and assembled. In April the Lodge hired a new janitor, replacing our very first janitor. (hey what can I say...It's a slow news month!)
It was carried by motion and vote to have the "Reyburn Family Portrait" taken which shows all of the family members who are members of the Lodge. In June Clovis Lodge went to Big Creek to confer a degree with the Edison Power Degree Team. A good time was had by all and there were 87 members in attendance, Also Bro. A. C. Reyburn became a Master Mason, on the 28th of June, with his father Glenn, sitting in the East.
In September Bro. Johnson PM of Clovis Lodge gave a very interesting lecture on the constitution of the United States and the problems that America was facing at the time. In October the Senior Warden H. Jenckes Sr., apologized for not being able to attend the Grand Lodge.
It was decided on November 8, 1951 that due to the "high cost of entertainment" there would be no dancing at the Installation of 1952, alas the end of an era. 1951 was another good year for degree work and it appears that there were plenty of men who were anxious to learn the mysteries of Masonry at Clovis Lodge.
